Valiant Sports Group and Botswana’s Palapye All Stars FC Sign MoU

Valiant Sports Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with their latest club partner, this time from the country of Botswana. Palapye All Stars FC will now become the agency’s link to the interesting country located in the southern part of Africa. The country is not foreign to the agency, as Abdelrahman had his first taste of agency life when he traveled there to scout a player back in the summer of 2016.

The MoU will see both parties collaborate on different activities related to youth football including scouting and tournament organization. Botswana is blessed with technically gifted players who are looking to put their country on the map, as not many players have made the transition to playing abroad, compared to their west African counterparts who dominate the board when it comes to exported talent.

Abdelrahman shared his thoughts on the MoU signing “We are happy to be expanding our reach further into another African country. To this day, I always refer to the boy I had traveled to scout back in 2016 as the most talented player I have seen thus far. Unfortunately his transition did not go as planned, however with a partnership like the one we have just entered into with Palapye All Stars, I believe I can help them understand what went wrong during that experience. Hopefully we will be able to bring opportunities for some players from the country.”

Owner of Palapye All Stars FC, Molefhi Kannemeye Obenne, commented “We are excited as Palapye All Stars to have partnered with Valiant Sports Group.  For the longest time we have developed kids, most under 17s, and mostly without a proper integrated system or an end in mind. So with this partnership, we are making our kids ambitious and saying to them the sky is the limit. If they do well in the field of play, there is a big chance they will get opportunities to positively impact their lives and careers. At the end of the day, we exist to develop all-rounders through this partnership and reward deserving kids through the same process.”

After travel resumes post-pandemic, Abdelrahman will be taking a trip to visit the club and begin developing a methodology for player development. He will also scout the team to get an idea of which players could have the potential to make it abroad in a few years time.
